Designing a Grotesque Font
To deepen my understanding of typography and type design, I set myself the challenge of creating my own Grotesque typeface. This genre, known for its clarity and restraint, demands absolute precision. Every detail, from stroke weight and whitespace to curvature speed and roundness, becomes critical in achieving a balanced, timeless design.

Over the course of half a year, under the guidance of Lucas De Groot, I refined my eye and sharpened my skills. This font is the result of intense iteration, critical analysis, and a growing passion for the subtleties of type. The design continues to evolve, which is why I’ve chosen to name it with the beautifully open-ended German word: Arbeitstitel
